Honor The Fallen Ruck March

We are proud to announce out first annual FOOD DRIVE ruck march! Now, you may be wondering what a ruck march is…In the simplest terms, it’s walking with a weighted backpack. Rucking is something you spend a lot of time doing in the military and is something you will typically experience big game hunting, especially out west.

This food drive is dedicated to Newby-Ginnings, an incredibly selfless, non-profit located in Post Falls, Idaho. If you’re unaware of their story, please visit their website to learn more about how they serve our veterans. (Please scroll to bottom for their website.)

This event will be extraordinary and will be held a week before Memorial weekend and the end of National Police week to honor our nations veterans and first responders.

Join us May 19th, 2024, at the McEuen Park Pavilion in Coeur d’Alene. We will embark on a 6-mile ruck march. Load your packs up with non-perishable goods (proteins are highly desired) and come support Newby-Ginnings. At the end of the march, we will drop off our food donations into the Newby-Ginnings truck that will be parked near the finish line. This is not a timed event or race. It is simply walking with weight on your back and enjoying a beautiful march along Lake Coeur d’Alene and the Spokane River. This is your time to meet new people, enjoy conversations, and have fun!

We look forward to bringing veterans, first responders, and fellow patriots together for a noble cause! This event begins at 0900! There will be food and beverages available afterwards.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Backcountry Medicine Course

Come join us for a day with BHA (Backcountry Hunters & Anglers) for a crash course in backcountry first-aid and trauma care!

What do you do if your buddy accidently sends a broadhead through your or his leg. What do you do when someone sustains a gunshot wound via a negligent hunter? How about when you’re by yourself and you fall and impale an arm or leg on a branch? Did you know you can bleed to death in under 3 minutes? How can you prevent a disaster from turning into a tragedy? Well, we’ve got the answers and the gear you need to survive a backcountry nightmare.

This half-day class will be presented by Response Ready Medical, also a veteran/first responder owned and operated business, and focus heavily on trauma care. Topics will include torniquet application, wound packing and care, shock prevention, and basic trauma patient assessment.
